Forse molti hanno già sentito parlare o utilizzato OpenCPM un programma che trasforma il pc in un chartplotter.
Ora qualcuno ha pensato bene di creare una vero e proprio sistema operativo (una distribuzione Linux) e quindi gratuito che comprende un insieme di programmi utili a chi va in barca.
Oltre ad OpenCPM comprende un programmi per inerfacciarsi e scaricare carte meteo, per leggere i dati da una scheda GPS, per leggere i files GRIB, calcolo delle maree, ecc.
