possiamo ipotizzare..
la chiave potrebbe essere singola per ogni cartografia, in questo modo si spiegherebbe il perche' una scheda navionics dei laghi americani non funziona se vengono caricati dati dei una scheda per il mediterraneo, seppur le 2 schede siano originali con codifica del produttore...
se per ogni scheda c'e' un codice diverso allora la cosa si complica (o semplifica a seconda dei punti di vista) basterebbe provare a scambiare i dati di 2 schede identiche (stessa mappa/stesso anno) e vedere che succede, se va' la chiave e' in relazione alla mappa se non va' e' sul 'seriale'...

facendo una ricerca su google (oltre a milioni di persone che dicono che e' impossibile e 10 che dicono il contrario..) ho ritrovato un mio vecchio post in un forum in cui chiedevo lumi, si parla di 2 anni fa'...
una risposta che mi era sfuggita e' stata questa..

Rendere disponibile sul PC attraverso il lettore di card la scheda da clonare
Da Prompt dei comandi di Windows (Start>Programmi>Accessori>Prompt dei comandi) attraverso il comando DIR, relativo alla lettera di unità assegnata alla scheda, prendere nota del numero di serie del volume che risulterà nel formato XXXX-XXXX
Utilizzando Hdclone.exe procedere alla creazione di un immagine della card da clonare sul proprio hard disk scegliendo in Hdclone come sorgente Drive e come destinazione IMG seguendo opportunamente le istruzioni che Piccoletto hdclone
Ad immagine effettuata sostituire nel lettore di card la scheda presente con la nuova scheda che può, senza alcun problema, essere anche di capacità maggiore
Sempre attraverso Hdclone procedere al trasferimento dell'immagine effettuata sulla nuova card scegliendo come sorgente IMG e come destinazione Drive indicando ad Hdclone, nel momento in cui lo richiede, di utilizzare tutta la nuova card (anche se di maggiore capacità) e di effettuare automaticamente le opportune operazioni post copia necessarie
Mettere sul disco C: il file VolumeID.exe quindi, sempre dal Prompt dei comandi, cambiare alla nuova card il numero di serie del volume attribuendole il numero annotato della vecchia card con il seguente comando C:volumeId.exe L: XXXX-XXXX dove L: è la lettera di unità card e XXXX-XXXX è il numero di serie della vecchia card

si capisce che la chiave di criptatura e' relativa al seriale....

' I am sorry to say that no matter what, you cannot create a working duplicate of a maps card in any 'traditional way'.
The SD Card specification will tell you why. SD Cards have a 'protected area' that is not part of the filesystem, its called the CID, therefore even using a direct bit-for-bit copy (UNIX dd command) will not copy this data from one card to another.
This 'protected area' is write-once and contains information about each individual card, it is written by the manufacturer at the factory, and once written cannot be changed.
The maps therefore use this card specific & unchangable data as part of their copy protection system (maps files are encrypted on a card by card basis). If you copy the maps to another card, the 'protected data' is missing and therefore won't work. You CAN read the data from the card.... but you CANNOT write it to another card.
You cannot read the data using a USB card reader, it has to be attached to your PCs PCI bus. This is why navionics supply the card reader, so it can read the CID information. Some laptops have built in card readers that are attached directly to the PCI bus and therefore you don't need the navionics card reader for the maps cards to work on your PC.
In order to make a copy you would either need to:
1. Unencrypt the encrypted maps using the 'protected data' then re-encrypt using another card's 'protected data'. This is next to impossible as you have no idea how the encryption works or what keys were used. Could be reversed with a lot of expensive equipment, specific encryption knowledge and time.
2. Somehow write to the 'protected data' of another card. Which is not allowed by the specification.
3. Find some software work around where the program that is trying to read the maps can read a copy of the original card's 'protected data' (or some 'unlock' key derived from it) from the copied card's filesystem (which you can write to) and unencrypts the maps using that instead. This method has been successful with some systems for card specific and device specific maps.

qui si capisce il perche' un normale lettore non puo' fare nulla (la differenza tra l'originale navionics e uno generico), per poter avere una chance in piu' il lettore deve essere connesso direttamente sul bus pci del computer, e non via USB per leggere il CID della carta (anche qui' c'e' la conferma che e' tutto legato al seriale)
