Barca di serie di qualche anno fà strafamosa di noto cantiere e noto progettista con LFT certa di 10,45m.
la barca viene modificata per diventare natante e tagliata con LFT a 9,95m (misura riportata sui documenti ufficiali) a cui poi viene applicata una 'plancetta'/'spiaggetta' (chiamatela come volete) di VTR, più o meno amovibile, raccordata allo scafo che riporta la LFT a ben oltre i 10,45m.
Ovviamente il problema nasce con il campionatao del Radicchio e la relativa formula 'Artiginale' per il calcolo del rating.
L'armatore in buona fede ha dichiarato 9,95, ma gli avversari non sono molto contenti.
Abbiamo trovato questa definizione di LOA:
B3 Hull Measurements
B3.1 LOA shall be the length overall of a yacht including the whole hull, excluding any spars or
projections fixed to the hull such as chainplates, bowsprits, boomkins, pulpits, etc., and as measured between
a) a point forward being the forwardmost of the following points:
i) the stem of the yacht, whether carried above the deck level or not, or
ii) the bulwarks of the yacht where these are extended above the stem.
b) a point aft, being the extreme after end of the hull and bulwarks or taffrail of the yachtwhether at, above, or below deck level. Rubbing strakes at the stern will be included. If a rudder and/or a push-pit extend abaft this point, neither one nor the other will be included.
