I am the UK importer / distributor for Ruggerini Marine. Most spares are still available although there are no new engines. With regards to engine temperature; Any engine that is salt water cooled must NOT run over 50-53 deg.C or the salt will drop out of the water and block waterways. If the engine runs cold, it's safer than if it runs hot. To ensure good ring seal, etc. keep the revs up whenever you can. Regular slow running without heavy load, is not good for any engine. It's the combustion temperatures you are looking to keep up, not water jacket temps. After all, no diesel engine could run if the combustion temps were as low as the water jacket temps, even at 85 - 90 deg. You can always ring me during the working day on 44 (0)1305821175.
