COOPERATION BETWEEN ORC AND RORC
PROPOSAL
SWE advocates ORC to continue cooperation between ORC and RORC
in a search for a solution that will bring a rating system that promotes today's ORC and IRC
boats and sailors to race in the same regattas and under the same system in the near future.
RATIONALE
The Swedish Offshore Association, SHF, believe that
the first combined Offshore Worlds has proven that
cooperation between two rating systems is possible.
It should be the intention of both organizations to find the best way
to allow sailors to easily get both certificates without additional costs and measurements
with the target to have a universal rating system in the near future.
This should help in getting bigger participation and better competition at the championships.
