Non fa una grinza ... purche' una cosa (che fa grinza) fondamentale :
- che si rispetti l'altrui opppinione (se ingegneristica o meno ... in questo caso [ma anche in altri idem] non mi pare che sia meno degna visto che e' usata sulla totalita' delle automobili del mondo [forse non proprio la totalita' ... ma quasi] oppure si puo' scrivere solo se "titolati" e con, a supporto, dati scientifici inconfutabili ?!?)

Per quello che mi riguarda, continuerò a far presente al forum quando vengono proposte soluzioni che hanno evidenti problemi, portando a supporto standards, dati tecnici e calcoli dove fosse necessario (compatibilmente con il tempo che ho a disposizione), ma sono contento di ascoltare chi produce argomenti tecnici e dati a supporto di soluzioni al di fuori di quelle raccomandate.
Quando poi parlo di ingegneria non intendo che dobbiamo essere ingegneri o che dobbiamo chiamare un ingegnere, ma che le soluzioni vanno elaborate usando principi ingegneristici.

Di seguito riporto un estratto della documentazione di Balmar (che fa alternatori, non paralumi).

FUSING
The American Boat and Yacht Council (ABYC), in its standards for safer boating, recommends that cable runs to your battery banks be fused to protect the boat and owner against damage and injury. Circuit protection, as described by ABYC standards, can be accomplished by installing either a resettable circuit breaker or a fuse. The fuse or breaker you choose will depend on both the amperage rating of the alternator and the size of cable used. The following considerations can be used to determine fusing:
1. The largest available circuit protection device smaller than the amperage capacity of the cable being protected.
2. Larger than the maximum continuous current that will flow in the circuit.
We find that a circuit protection device sized at approximately 140% of your alternator’s rated amperage is typically
