Secondo me il nasa battery monitor compact non dovrebbe avere problemi ad indicare la carica residua di una batteria AGM che é una batteria al piombo acido.
Forse l'errore della lettura sta proprio su questo quesito riportato sul manuale:

Credo sia un errore comune per questi strumenti: ottimi per volt e amper, un po meno per il livello di carica.
