Application Guide for SealnGlide
Clean sails with fresh water and TextileWash to remove salt and dirt. Rinse well and leave to dry completely.
Calculate the area to be coated, but remember that you have two sides to a sail. Once mixed the solution needs to be used immediately, you have 60 to 90 minutes before the solution cures.
Apply a thin coating, working evenly into the whole surface with a big sponge or wiper, removing any excess
DO NOT SPRAY! Spraying renders the mixture useless and inhaling the spray will severely damage your health! In liquid form this mixture is harmless, and it is the only way that the product will cure correctly.
Turn the sail over and coat the other side. On completion hang the sail to dry for at least 3 hours before using in which time the coating will form. Any dust or dirt particles that have attached themsleves during the coating
process can easily be wiped off after the drying is complete.
TIPS: Apply SealnGlide using a plastic undersheet. You only need a few square metres of flat area and this makes cleaning up easier.
When coating spinnakers try to include coating the bolt rope of your mainsail as well to help in hoisting.
