Dear Sir,
We finished our study and are pleased to inform you that we can now offer the possibility of the registration of boats in the Netherlands, this particularly because of the leadterm that we are facing to get the original Belgian registration documents (minimum of 2 months)
You will find here bellow the information :
Advantages :
- No limit to navigate
- Choice of Security equipment is free and under the entire responsibility of the captain
- Despite it is recommended, the cancellation of the current flag of the boat is not requested
- Accepted document as evidence of ownership can be : invoice or bill of sale or notarial act or insurance policy or customs document mentioning the payment of the VAT
- No tax to pay to the Dutch authorities (instead of the tax to be paid to the Belgian authorities for boats > 7.50 m, which could be between 2 478.00 euros to 61.50 euros depending on the year of build)
- Possibility to rent the boat
- Leadterm to get the registration document : about 2 weeks
Other information :
- Boating license is compulsory for all boats > 15 m or possible speed > 20 km/h.
- Validity of the registration document : 2 years. Few times before the date of expiration, you will receive a letter from the Dutch authorities and also from our services. Renewal will be possible. Cost : 50.00 euros
- Radio equipement is to be declared. Costs are 25.00 euros.
Fees for registration : 330.00 euros for boats until 7.50 m or 390.00 euros for boats > 7.50 m
Renewal fees : 50.00 euros
You will find enclosed the procedure and list of documents requested.
All documents can be sent by email only and payment by bank transfer is accepted.
In case you will receive also your Belgian registration document, your boat will be registered in 2 different countries. It will be of use to cancel one registration.
