Ecco cosa ha risposto RC Collins, l'autore del website, riporto la mia domanda e la sua risposta:
Hi Mr. Collins,
I have recently purchased your BED IT tape to do some toerail work on my 1979 C&C 30 mark 1. Could you please clarify one doubt I have in reading your instructions on the website: The instructions mention that this tape is to be applied one time only but I also read that you suggest to do a series of continuous micro-adjustments that may last for days. Could you please confirm that when you say "ONE TIME" you mean this series of the micro-adjustments?
Risposta:
"What is meant by that is that the installation is not a two-step process where the sealant has to cure to a specific state. Bed-It does not change states nor does it cure hence it is a one time install with no waiting events for the product to "cure". It is a one-time installation and in the right conditions can be done much faster than waiting for a two-step process where curing is involved. Bed-It only requires that you keep torquing until it displaces / stops oozing out. This can take a few small increment tightening events. Install it, torque it, but not too tight Wait then go back and re-torque If still oozing re-torque again . don't need to worry that the sealant has cured where you'd risk breaking the seal because Bed-It does not cure or change states.
