La cosa oscena è il giro che devo fare per portare il segnale NKE nella dorsale...
SE rinasco intelligente voglio fare elettronica per barche... come andare a caccia allo zoo. Ci prendono per i fondelli, ci levano i soldi e secondo me ci ridono pure sopra.

Thank you for your well worded email – that really helps.
As you say, you have two NMEA 0183 Listener devices to connect to the NGW-1’s NMEA 0183 output. The answer depends on whether at least one of the two NMEA 0183 Listeners has an standard isolated input or they have a lower cost non-isolated input. The NGW-1’s NMEA 0183 output is isolated so it can cope perfectly when there is one non-isolated Listener, however when both Listeners have non-isolating inputs a ground loop can be created between the two Listeners and they could become damaged as a result.
The NGW-1 will not be damaged by that situation because its output has been designed to automatically disconnect if overloaded and reconnect when the fault is removed.
If you are happy that one or both NMEA 0183 Listeners (RO 4800 and ST1000) have an isolated NMEA 0183 input, then you can safely connect both inputs to the NGW-1’s NMEA 0183 output.
As you only have one NMEA 0183 Talker (the RO 4800) that connects directly to the NGW-1’s NMEA 0183 input.
If you purchase the NGW-1-STNG you will have the necessary Raymarine SeaTalkNG to NMEA 2000 adapter cable but you will need to connect the NGW-1 to a PC in order to change the standard firmware to the AIS firmware. What may be a simpler solution is to purchase the NGW-1-ISO-AIS that already has the AIS firmware inside it and purchase a “Raymarine SeaTalkNG to NMEA 2000 adapter cable, part number A06045” from a Raymarine dealer.
